– Chuckle away holiday stress during “The Santaland Diaries.” See the play, based on the bestselling book about David Sedaris’ time spent as a department store elf, 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Open Stage of Harrisburg’s The Angino Family Theatre, 223 Walnut St., Harrisburg. [$30 and $21]
– There will be actual precipitation in the Fulton Theatre during “Singin’ in the Rain” 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 12 N. Prince St., Lancaster. It also plays Dec. 26 to 29. [$20 to $65]
Bube’s Brewery in Mount Joy offers patrons a bloody good time and dinner with its Holiday Murder Mystery 6 p.m. Saturday as well as Dec. 28 and 29. [$45; Reservations are required; space is limited]
– Mingle with family, friends and literary characters during Fezziwig’s Annual Christmas Party 1, 4 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Mount Hope Estate and Winery, 2775 Lebanon Road in Manheim, Lancaster County. Music:
– Trans-Siberian Orchestra is teaming up with Hallmark Channel to present the live debut of the bands multi-platinum rock opera, “The Lost Christmas Eve,” 4 and 8 p.m. Friday at the Giant Center in Hershey. [$32.75, $40.75, $50.75, $60.75, and $70.75 for the 8 p.m. show]
– Hear traditional holiday tunes in a new way during “Tim Warfield’s All Star Jazzy Christmas” 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center, 50 N. George St., York. [$20, $31, $35]

Outdoors:
AvalancheXpress, 2700 Mount Rose Ave., Springettsbury Township, is slated to open Friday is the weather permits. [Day passes are $30 for those 7 and older; discounts are available for kids and during night hours]
– The Horn Farm Center will present its Grounded, Green & Growing mission from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Shanks Mare, 2092 Long Level Road, Lower Windsor Township. [Hot mulled cider and snacks will be available; part of the proceeds will go to Horn Farm Center]
The York Daily Record’s NewsVroom and FlipSide editor Pat Abdalla will be at Christmas Magic at Rocky Ridge County Park in Springettsbury Township 5 p.m. Saturday. [Bring nonperishable food items that we will deliver to the York County Food Bank]
– Visit Richard M. Nixon County Park near Jacobus from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday to enjoy a Christmas Adventure, a nature-based scavenger hike/hunt. [Free]
